Road Rules

Australian law defines a bicycle as " a two wheel vehicle that is either soleley human powered or is power - assisted by an engine having a power output not exceeding 0.2 kw" All Australian model eZee bikes have a motor with a continuous output rating of 200 watts and can be driven human or electric power.

As such eZee bikes are classed as bikes and may be ridden without a drivers licence and registration being required. Each state has its own set of regulations concerning the use of electric bikes on bike paths and at what age they can be ridden. You can view each states regulations by clicking on the appropriate state on the map. GO ELECTRIC recommends you familiarise yourself with all your states relevant rules prior to riding and we kindly remind you that wearing of an approved bicycle helmet is compulsory at all time in all states of Australia.
